Welcome to the blog for Harmony Healing Arts Center and the Shanti Saagar Yoga program. A complete listing of classes and other offerings appears on our website: ssyoga.org (you can click on above, underlined link)

This site has been created specifically to notify yoga students
of class cancellations due to inclement weather. It also will be used for other timely notices, so please check back occasionally and, if you are inclined, post a comment. We'd love to hear from you!

All yoga classes ON!

Our regular schedule of yoga classes has resumed. (note: Thursday's Healing Yoga resumes March 4.)

Please be aware that, as of Thursday morning, the street in front of Harmony had not been plowed, and there are limited parking spaces behind the building for early morning and evening use. Best bet at those times is to park at Jefferson Security Bank.

For regular day-time classes, parking remains a challenge.

ALL classes that were cancelled due to snow will be rescheduled at the end of the regular winter session.

We're pleased to announce an added event to our schedule of FREE workshops and hope you can join us:

Rumi: a Message of Love

with Parvin Rahnavard

Friday • February 26 • 6:30-8 p.m.

Rumi scholar Parvin Rahnavard of Tehran, Iran, will guide participants on a 90-minute journey that includes chanting, extended meditation with brahmari (humming breath), a poetry reading in Farsi and English, and a sharing of divine connectedness.

We welcome Ms. Rahnavard, a long-time practicing yogi and former assistant professor at Shepherd University, to Harmony for this unique inneractive workshop — for anyone who has been touched by the words of the Sufi poet or seeks to learn more about him.
